The story behind the bowl
Once famous for having no sign beyond a blue bucket, Genki Ippai serves exceptionally creamy white tonkotsu with remarkably little pork odor. The optional curry-seasoned noodle refill transforms the remaining soup into a second course.
Before you go: Look for the blue bucket, respect the compact shop’s rules and save enough broth for the curry kaedama.
